THE AIR JORDAN XVI “CEO” RELEASES THIS FRIDAY

We’re very nearly to the point where the number of Air Jordans 2017 that Michael himself has actually played in is equal to the number that he hasn’t. But can you imagine if he did get to suit up in all the colorways and silhouettes that landed outside of his reign? Complex has imagined that with their latest list, “10 Air Jordans We Wish Michael Jordan Could Have Played In”. What’s cool about the group is that they even went so far as to list out when they wished to see any given pair on court-a Doernbecher Air Jordan III for the All-Star Game, an Air Jordan 1 Alpha out at MSG, etc. See their selections after the click and then head to Complex for the full piece.Setting out to rank the Air Jordan Legacy and its individual releases might be the single most difficult ranking task in all of sneakerhead culture.
How on earth are you supposed to objectively assess the Cheap Air Jordan Shoes that have unique meanings for each of their devotees?! The way Sneaker News has done it over the past couple years is to give our readers a chance to vote in our March Madness Air Jordan tournaments, but each person who submitted a pick has their own top 10 (or 100) in mind. Multiply that by itself and you’ve got a sense of the scope of Russ Bengtson’s ambitious project to rank Complex’s 100 Best Air Jordans, a list that’s absolutely guaranteed to cause its fair share of dissention. We’ve selected one from each group of ten (100-91, 90-81, and so on) to give you a sense of what’s in store, so check out the sneak peek and then head over to Complex for the full list.Michael Jordan proved once and again that his greatness exceeds his skills in basketball.
He’s risen to become the CEO and majority owner of the 2017 Jordans For Sale NBA franchise, and this Friday the brand that bears his name will pay tribute to its leader with a limited-edition release of one of the most “grown” Air Jordans of the legacy – the Air Jordan XVI. The Air Jordan 16 “CEO” keeps things business-formal with the all-black upper in rich suede, but elements of the Hornets in teal, purple, and the always-attractive iridescent appliques give this Retro release its rightful place among Jordan Brand’s best “storytelling” concepts on shoes. With just 2,300 pairs in existence, only a select number of sneaker boutiques will release these like Social Status’ Charlotte store location, which will host an in-store release event to celebrate the monumental drop as well as the Hornets’ home opener of the new NBA season.
